DAILY LIFE IN SAINT-GERVAIS

Am I authorised to move house during lockdown?

Yes, under certain circumstances.

Removals are included in the list of authorised outings. One must complete an official attestation and tick the box “motif familial impérieux”. By doing so, it is possible to move between cities and regions. In the case of a control one must present the deed of sale,  lease or any other official dated document.

If you choose to use a home removal service, the chosen professional will ask you to sign a “lettre de voiture” before transporting your belongings. This letter also serves as proof.

Last but not least, only the residents of the household are authorised to move. Help from friends is forbidden, considered incompatible with current restrictive measures.

Further information is available online at  https://www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus

Are children’s play areas still accessible?

According to the French Government website  www.gouvernement.fr  “Parks and gardens, as well as beaches, lakes and water bodies, remain accessible if they are within a one kilometre perimeter of your home. It is however forbidden to gather in such places in groups of more than 6 people.”

Further information is available online at https://www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus
