Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc d'Humour

Every winter since 1985, the resort village of Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc in the Haute-Savoie region of France has played host to renowned laughter artists and up-and-coming comedians for the Mont-Blanc d’Humour Festival!

Laughter, discovery and sharing are the watchwords of the Festival Mont-Blanc d’Humour, which has been held in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc for over thirty years! Created in 1985, these theatrical encounters have evolved over the years to become the Festival International Mont-Blanc d’Humour de Saint-Gervais, now a not-to-be-missed event in the world of laughter… for decades, as many years placed under the sign of conviviality, novelty, but also quality!”

The Mont-Blanc d’Humour Festival is a talent-spotter and a much-anticipated event for up-and-coming comedians and festival-goers, whether local or holiday-makers, who won’t want to miss this unique event in the life of our village!

Big names in comedy For an authentic theater festival

The loyal followers of the Mont-Blanc d’Humour de Saint-Gervais certainly remember with great emotion these privileged moments offered to us by guests, jury members and masters of ceremony. The stage of the Montjoie theater has welcomed some of the greatest names: Raymond Devos, Dany Boon, Stéphane Guillon, Jonathan Lambert, Michaël Gregorio, Elie Semoun… artists, each more talented than the last, often from different worlds. All of them have left their mark on this venue.

As always, the programming is designed to strike a balance between established artists and the emerging talents who will shape tomorrow’s comedy. A quality line-up, meticulously selected by Arthur Jugnot, Parisian co-director of the Théâtre des Béliers and artistic director of the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc d’Humour. During these “Soirées Découvertes”, each of the 8 artists in the running will have 20 minutes to seduce and convince the jury and audience with an extract from their show.

The goal? Win at least one of the three Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc d’Humour trophies: the Prix du Public, the Prix
du Jury and the Prix Coup de Cœur.

Festival presentation

A theatrical gathering at its inception, over the years this festival has become a not-to-be-missed event for French-language humor. For almost forty years, comedy stars and up-and-coming talents have graced the stage of the Théâtre Montjoie. Year after year, Saint-Gervolain festival-goers have been able to discover great stars at each edition, each with their own style and universe: Raymond Devos, Dany Boon, Stéphane Guillon, Elie Semoun, Arthur, Anne Roumanoff, Florent Peyre, Pierre Richard, Sophie Forte, Patrick Timsit, Gaspard Proust, Yolande Moreau, Guy Bedos, Tom Villa, Mathieu Madénian…

39th Mont-Blanc d'Humour Incubating humor since 1985!

For this 39th edition, Arthur Jugnot, Parisian co-director of the Théâtre des Béliers and artistic director of the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc d’Humour for the fourth year running, has assembled a line-up of top-quality artists from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Festival-goers won’t be bored, as Gala evenings and Discovery evenings alternate throughout the week. The goal for the 8 comedians competing is to win one of the three prizes up for grabs at the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc d’Humour 2023:

  • the Prix du Public
  • the Prix du Jury Henri Salvador
  • the Prix Coup de Coeur du Jury.

On the stage of the Salle Claude Brasseur of the Théâtre Montjoie in Saint-Gervais, over the course of six exceptional evenings, the show will be put on by both comedy references and up-and-coming talents vying for the Prix du Jury. A jury presided over for the 2nd year running by Chantal Ladesou, who will be making her return to the jury, but also to the stage during a Gala evening of this 2023 edition.
