This sustainable approach does not date from yesterday, ISO 14001 certified, the STBMA has been conducting a genuine environmental policy on a daily basis for over 10 years now.

The objectives are ambitious: to make a success of the ecological transition of the Saint-Gervais mountain territory, consolidating links with the living world, evolving economic models, all while contributing to improving the quality of life of residents and the experience enjoyed by lift users, summer and winter alike!

he thermal spring water at Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc is of a quality that is unique in the world, so it seemed only natural for a player like Thermes de Saint-Gervais to commit to a virtuous, sustainable approach to preserving this environment, which is the very source of this precious thermal spring water. Heavy investment has enabled more intelligent management of energy consumption in the buildings and pools, saving around 200 tonnes of CO2 every year!

The thermal baths’ participation in the Green Arve Mont-Blanc consortium also enables them to work daily to reduce their impact on the environment, and to continue moving forward in 3 eco-responsible areas: mobility, energy and local circular mobility.

As an establishment committed to Unisoap, an association aiming to encourage and facilitate the recycling of hotel soaps and the transformation of solid soaps, l’Armancette also collaborates with the association raising awareness and providing support on climate change issues: POW (Protect Our Winter).

Initiating a zero-waste, zero-waste approach with the aim of becoming a 100% zero-plastic establishment, the hotel has equipped itself with a compost, abandoned disposable bottles, changed the materials of opening cards and engages daily with Racing for the Oceans to constantly improve its environmental footprint and waste management.
