Summer micro-adventure in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc
If you feel like discovering the Mont Blanc Massif, get your hiking boots ready, Saint Gervais and its surroundings await you for a micro adventure with the whole family.
Imagine! Ride up to the Eagle’s Nest using the Mont-Blanc tramway. This pretty cogwheel railway is the highest in Europe. Gently climb the almost 1,800 m between your starting point (Saint-Gervais station) and your finishing point (the Refuge du Nid d’Aigle). From its height of 2372 m, it reveals a majestic Alpine panorama.
On the way down, stop for the night at Hôtel le Saint-Gervais (near the station). This magnificent early 20th-century mansion offers a spa, gourmet restaurant and cocooning rooms.
The next day, head out hiking with your dog. The trail to Refuge de la Miage is ideal for a cani hike. This walk is accessible to all. Take advantage of the Refuge’s terrace for a family lunch with a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc Massif.
Terminate your stay with an electric mountain bike outing on the Saint-Gervais slopes. Take time to visit the Joux mountain pasture. The lucky ones can watch the goats and cows being milked. Then stop off at the Refuge du Mont-Joly. Located at an altitude of over 2000 m, its terraced restaurant offers panoramic views of the Mont Blanc Massif mountains. Breathtaking!
Winter micro-adventure in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc
On the program for your winter micro-adventure: snowy slides, a walk in the heights and a well-deserved rest in a magnificent mansion.
During your stay, we invite you to take a sled dog outing. Set off to discover the high plateaus by way of the forest, all pulled by dogs happy to roam the snowy heights.
After this ride quietly wrapped up in a blanket, swap your shoes for cramponed snowshoes and climb up to the Plateau de la Croix. The long loop will take you there through spruce forest, past old farmhouses and over a pretty little mountain bridge.
End your day with a night at l’Armancette. Their wellness area as well as their gourmet restaurant will round off this emotionally-charged day in style.
If you get the chance, plan a night ski touring outing. This unique experience ends with the traditional ski descent by headlamp.
Then book your place in a high-altitude restaurant that will delight your taste buds with one of the best fondues you’ll ever taste.
