Bernard Grandjacques tells us about the treasure in the parish of Saint-Nicolas: "During the troubled times of the Revolution, Reverend David, the parish priest, decided to hide it in a farmhouse in Nant Blanchet, suggesting that he had taken it with him into exile. It wasn't until the 1950s that it resurfaced and found a home in the presbytery.
Today, the Museum of Sacred Art houses a large number of gold and silver objects, paintings, sculptures and liturgical textiles that belonged to the church, but also to the surrounding chapels. Completely renovated after 2008, the museum presents the valley's religious tradition in conjunction with the history of its inhabitants, particularly its pedlars.
