The 51st Haute-Savoie Drum and Bugle Corps Festival is coming to Saint-Gervais and Domancy for a weekend of music, togetherness and fun. A festive event open to all
This year, the 51st Haute-Savoie Brass Band Festival will take place in Saint-Gervais and Domancy. The event is organised by the ‘La Renaissance’ Brass Band of Saint-Gervais / Domancy.
On the programme for this festive weekend:
On Saturday evening, in Domancy, a special gala concert will bring together two musical groups, with the prestigious Paris National Police Fanfare Band as the guest of honour.
On Sunday morning, on the Esplanade Marie Paradis in Saint-Gervais, the festival’s official ceremony will take place. On this occasion, the “La Renaissance” Fanfare Band will receive the federal flag. Around 250 musicians from the 13 Fanfare Bands of Haute-Savoie will then perform several ensemble pieces. The morning will continue with a dawn concert by the Paris National Police Fanfare Band.
On Sunday afternoon, the festivities will move to Domancy. The Paris National Police Fanfare Band will open the afternoon with another serenade, before the parade of the 13 participating fanfare bands. Each group will then perform on stage to present a piece from their repertoire.
To bring this 51st festival to a close in a friendly and festive atmosphere, the musicians of La Vioul’ du Chablais will provide the evening’s entertainment.
