Discover birdwatching, wildlife, flora and geology at the summit of Mont Lachat! Spotting scope, binoculars and raptor silhouettes provided. Join us on Aug 6, 8, 13, 15 & 22, 11am–3pm (backup site: Bellevue if weather is threatening).
Come explore an exceptional site at the summit of Mont Lachat, where several nature-focused topics will be covered. On the birdwatching side, a spotting scope, binoculars and raptor silhouettes will be available to help observe and identify the birds found here. We will also discuss wildlife in general, as well as local flora, with particular attention to the phenology of blueberries. The geological history of the site and its glaciers will be covered too, along with the impact of climate change on mountain ecosystems.
Join us at the summit of Mont Lachat from 11am to 3pm on the following dates: Thursday August 6, Saturday August 8, Thursday August 13, Saturday August 15, and Saturday August 22. In case of threatening weather, the event will be moved to Bellevue.
