We begin with a composer from the Baroque period: Antonio Vivaldi and his “Gloria”.
We then move on to two major choral pieces by Johannes Brahms: “Geislicheslied” for choir and organ, followed by “Schicksalslied” for choir and piano.
Finally, to echo Vivaldi's “Gloria”, we offer extracts from the “Gloria” by Karl Jenkins, a contemporary Welsh composer known for his use of very different musical styles and inspirations in the composition of his works.
