Geoffrey Garcel, a naturalist from Haute-Savoie, left his native Alps and the Mont Blanc massif, where he lives, for a nature expedition to the far reaches of a wild world beyond the “last frontier.”
Located in southeastern Alaska (USA), Kodiak Island is home to a rich wildlife population set against a landscape of stark contrasts, ranging from the fjords of the Pacific Ocean to the peaks of its mountainous terrain. Designated a “National Wildlife Refuge,” the island is an ecological paradise, with its most famous endemic species being the Kodiak bear!
