Set out from La Gruvaz for a journey through history in the heart of the Chalets Miage. Amid iconic peaks and alpine chalets, this round-trip hike combines the discovery of Alpine heritage with the pleasure of walking at a leisurely pace.
This trail takes you into the heart of a magnificent natural cirque where the architecture of the alpine chalets still bears witness to centuries of mountain life. You’ll have time to observe how this landscape has evolved, shaped by both human activity and the climate. Although the trail presents no technical difficulty, it requires sufficient stamina to handle the incline so you can fully enjoy the historical commentary along the way. This is a unique opportunity to understand how this valley has become one of the massif’s most iconic features.
Accessible to anyone in good physical condition. Approximately 2 hours of ascent and 500 meters of elevation gain at a leisurely, steady pace.
Full hiking gear is required (hiking boots, poles, rain gear, water, and snacks).
The outing will be led by a guide from the Compagnie des Guides de St Gervais and at least one instructor from the CAF de St Gervais.
Reservations can be made at the festival ticket office or at the Saint-Gervais Tourist Office reception desk.
