A lecture offering an insight into the life of a female mountain rescue worker!
The first female CRS rescuer at the age of 30, Marion Poitevin carries out this extraordinary job as part of the CRS Alpes team based in Albertville. A mountaineer and mountain guide, she has been paving the way for more women to take up mountaineering for over 15 years. As president of the ‘Lead the Climb’ association, she encourages women to learn how to be self-sufficient in the mountains. She shares her passion for the mountains and verticality with us, at the heart of her hectic life as a rescuer and mountain guide, where daring and perseverance take her ever higher.
She is the author of Briser le plafond de glace (Breaking the Ice Ceiling), published by Guérin in 2022, and Toujours plus haute (Ever Higher), published by Sens Dessous Dessus in 2025.
