Julien Sigalas is a singer-songwriter and actor. He has always dreamed of taking on Brel. In Etienne Champollion, he has found the ideal partner. A multi-instrumentalist, virtuoso pianist, and arranger, he knows Jacques Brel’s songs like the back of his hand. Together, after nearly ten years performing Renaud on stage, they set out to create this show where power and poetry, brilliance and madness, tenderness and laughter intertwine. Guitars, piano, accordion, and ukulele allow for an acoustic take on Brel while paying homage to the Brussels singer’s immense body of work. The interpretation is personal, but the emotion remains universal.
