Signing session with Rachel Hitchings, author of children's books including
"Brunette dans les glaces", which won the Grand Prix Jeunesse at the Salon International du Livre de Montagne de Passy. Rachel Hitchings takes her freshness and rigor from the mountains of Chamonix, at the foot of which she grew up. She initially set her sights on translation, graduating with a Master's degree from Grenoble's Stendhal University. Following a serious accident, Rachel can no longer approach the peaks as she used to. Nevertheless, she retains a fervor for them that she communicates through her writing, with a touch of humor and poetry. Rachel has been working for the Club Alpin Français de Chamonix for eight years.
