Le Valléen A year-round alternative to the car

Le Valléen in Saint-Gervais-Mont-Blanc embodies the company’s commitment to eco-mobility and accessibility. Conceived in response to the challenges of sustainable mobility, this innovative project consists of a cable car connecting the SNCF train station of Le Fayet to the village of Saint-Gervais, offering a year-round alternative to the car.

Saint-Gervais-Mont-Blanc, an emblematic destination at the foot of Mont Blanc, is at the forefront of sustainable mobility in the mountains. Thanks to Le Valléen, the resort is moving towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly development model, while improving the experience of residents and visitors alike.

The commissioning of this ambitious project is scheduled for 2024, marking a milestone in the resort’s evolution towards a more sustainable, virtuous and accessible future for all.

    Eco-mobility and reduction of road traffic

    The Le Valléen cableway aims to reinvent daily mobility for high school students, workers, residents and visitors, with reduced environmental impact and improved quality of life for residents and visitors. With an estimated 25 per cent reduction in daily road traffic and a reduction of 15,000 vehicles per year in the centre’s car park, the Valléen will contribute to decongestion.

    The project also aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the area by 12-15% through the use of this environmentally friendly means of transport.

    With a journey time of only five minutes, the Valléen will operate all year round, offering a quick and convenient alternative to the car.
