Description
An e-MTB route starting from Le Bettex, with a gradual climb up to Mont Joux via the Plateau de la Croix. Return via Mont d’Arbois before a fun descent down the Wizz trail. A well-rounded ride combining alpine views and exciting singletrack!
Starting from Le Bettex, this route offers a lovely loop combining a gradual build-up of effort with the thrill of the descent. You begin your ride heading towards the Plateau de la Croix, along a wide, even track, ideal for warming up your legs whilst enjoying the first views of the valley.
From the plateau, the gradient steepens slightly as you reach Mont Joux, the highest point of the route. Up there, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking 360° view, with the Mont Blanc massif as a backdrop.
The descent then begins gently towards Mont d’Arbois, via the 4x4 track.
The final section follows the “La Wizz” mountain bike trail, a fun, well-maintained singletrack featuring banked bends, bumps and wooden features. A real treat to end the ride on a fun and dynamic note!
Wearing a helmet and protective gear is strongly recommended; a mountain bike suitable for downhill riding with an appropriate braking system is required. A mountain biking guide is available from all bike hire companies in the valley as well as at the Tourist Information Offices.

Take the multi-purpose track towards Les Communailles.
Cross Les Orgères and head towards the Plateau de la Croix.
From the Plateau de la Croix, take the path towards Mont Joux via Le Déchappieu, following the path that passes beneath the Epaule du Mont-Joly.
At Mont Joux, head back down towards Mont d'Arbois.
Take the “La Wizz” mountain bike trail to Le Bettex.
