Access to the Pays du Mont-Blanc’s waste collection centers is regulated; find all the information on registration and operation on the CCPMB website.

Inhabitants of the CCPMB’s 10 communes are free to use any of the waste collection centers.

Forestry policy of the municipality

Forest preservation is an ongoing concern for the commune of Saint-Gervais, which is supported in this approach by the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Two objectives for communal forests

  1. Ensuring the maintenance of softwood forests by supporting their gradual renewal.
  2. Relaunching the silviculture of mixed forests (hardwoods and softwoods) to produce timber for construction while maintaining a mix of species.

The maintenance and upkeep of Saint-Gervais’ communal forests is carried out by the ONF under an agreement. The actions carried out in recent years have been co-financed by the Commune and the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, which allocates a grant to the Commune on the basis of Framework Scheme n°SA 41595 relating to aid for the development of forestry and adaptation to climate change – Part A in force since August 12, 2016.

The silvicultural work carried out on the Commune de Saint-Gervais les Bains – 2020 and 2022 programs – has received financial support from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region as part of aid for the development of silviculture and the adaptation of forests to climate change.
