Description
Discover Émilie Bouchard’s exhibition: landscapes ranging from the Mont Blanc mountains to Polynesia and Asia. A luminous, refined contemporary painting style where fields of colour and emotion invite you on a journey.
Emilie spent her entire childhood in Haute-Savoie at the foot of Mont Blanc. She later left her mountain environment to study fine arts in Rennes, where she now lives. She began painting in 2007, focusing mainly on the mountains of her childhood. This theme led her to exhibit mainly in her native region for the past ten years.
Today, her work has diversified; Emilie has drawn inspiration from her travels in Polynesia and Asia to continue her pictorial exploration, always in search of new subjects and landscapes.
Her very contemporary perspective on these landscapes is refined through a stripped-back technique of flat areas of colour in acrylic on canvas. She brings light and depth into her paintings, capturing the feeling of the places she visits down to their finest details.
