  • Located on the ancient Roman Road travelling to the Voza Pass, the hamlet of Champel occupies a strategic position facing the area of Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce. The first chapel was built in 1661 by the Rosset family, but it quickly collapsed into ruin and needed to be rebuilt in 1700. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint Bartholomew.
    The chapel architecture is simple and solid, with an openwork wooden steeple and beautiful groined vaults.
